Nawaz Sharif8217;s effigy burnt

PATIALA, June 23: A rally was taken out today on the call of Rashtriya Ekta and Akhandta Forum, Punjab, where demonstators raised anti-Pakistan slogans for intrusion in Kargil sector. The protest march started from behind the historical Kali Mata Temple and terminated in front of the Deputy Commissioner8217;s office. Ved Parkash Gupta, president, district Congress Committee I urban, Dalip Singh Bikkar, president, Usharaj Singh Anand, vice-president, and Rajinder Sharma, general secretary of the forum, addressed the rallyists. Later, the protesters burnt the effigy of Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and presented a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner for the Pakistan High Commissioner.
