NASHIK, April 30: General Secretary of the Nashik city unit of the Congress Bhagwan Bhoge, who resigned on April 24, has joined the Samajwadi Party on the eve of the Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee MPCC convention.

Bhoge had resigned from the primary membership of the Congress to protest against the 8220;dictatorial8221; style of functioning of MPCC president Ranjit Deshmukh and Nashik city unit president Murlidhar Mane.

He had been served a show cause notice by MPCC for alleged anti-party activities during the recent Lok Sabha elections. But Bhoge claimed he had campaigned for the official party candidate and now, MP, Madavrao Patil, and that the latter had even testified to this.

Bhoge said he had complained against Mane and Chhajed to the MPCC president, who not only ignored his grievances, but also reprimanded him for doing so.
