My Den:
Chhaya Momaya, has all but taken up residence at the Fashion Bar and Bistro 8212; for most part of the day at least. For, she now runs the Bistro in the afternoon. While her husband Nirmal has been at the helm of affairs for the last year, Chhaya has recently decided to join him at work.
quot;My son Dheer is now seven, so I can find time to do other things.quot; And now that she8217;s at it, she wants to make the Fashion Bistro the most happening place in town for lunch. She has even introduced a new menu that includes Oriental dishes. What8217;s more she8217;s also started hosting fashion shows and make-overs during lunch hour. quot;Ladies who go for kitty parties want something different. They are bored with just discussing clothes and jewellery.quot;
Already Shaina NC and Araiya have held afternoon showings at the Bistro and expert make-up and artists and hair stylists drop in from time to time to share some beauty tips. Stretching the same idea a little further, Chhaya now plans to open a store in the Bistrobasement. quot;I want to start something that will specialise in clothes priced under Rs 2,000.quot;
But until that happens, she8217;s totally focussed on giving the Bistro a personal touch. But the one thing that8217;ll stay untouched through all this are the interiors. quot;The place was done up by Mustafa Eisa before I got involved, but I really like it as it is.quot; Done mostly in dark colours, the 1,200 sqft Bistro has showcases all over. quot;They are the perfect place for designers to show-off their work.quot;
