Mustafa Eisa, having been a top model for 12 years, has now TURNED TO interior design. And his home also doubles up as his den as he works out of his Mahim residence. quot;I had an office in Peddar Road but in the interiors business no one really comes to visit you at an office, quot; says he. Mustafa has always been interested in homes, so about three years ago he went to Parsons, one of New York8217;s top design schools and studied there. On his return, he began to do homes and has decorated the home of film star Salman Khan. quot;It very different and modern, quot; says he.
Mustafa is also the man behind the interiors of the Fashion Bar amp; Bistro, which he completed in just 45 days. So what if it took less time to put away his mannequin-shaped chairs 8212; when the thought police got hyper-active. To avoid such censure, Mustafa got into the restaurant business and runs an Italian restaurant Siciliana, in Lokhandwala. Incidentally, this time he has opted for regular chairs. As for his own home, Mustafa says it is in a completemess at the moment 8212; it was never designed to be a 24-hour work spot. quot; This is my family home and it is very basic, quot; says he. Soon, Mustafa and his wife plan to move to their own place. Then he can do the interiors to accommodate his den.
