Seminar on housing societies

The Rotary Club of Borivli has organised a seminar on the problems of co-operative housing societies and flat purchasers on August 22 at 9.30 am at Vaman Ashram Hall, Shimpoli Road, Haridas Nagar, Borivli W, Mumbai.

The panelists include Mane, superintendent of stamps, Raghuvir Samant, ex-chairperson of the Housing Federation, Koja, ward officer, R-North Ward, Pathan, assessor and collector, R-North Ward and two lawyers who will guide participants on the problems of stamp duty and property tax. One-year course in Kannada

The Mumbai Kannada Sangha has organised a one year part time certificate course. Classes will be held every Sunday from 10 am to 12 pm at the reading room, 2 Venkatesh Nivas, Bhaudaji Road, Matunga Central Railway. A function will be held on August 22 at 10 am at the same venue andwill be inaugurated by retired scientist Manjunathayya. Get-together for cancer affected

Courage India is organising a get-together for cancer-affected children and celebrities like Arbaaz Khan, Malaika Arora, Pooja Batra, Javed Jaffery and Archana Puran Singh on August 21 at The Banquet Vikas Centre, S V Road, Santacruz West between 5 pm and 7 pm. Two magicians will also be present to entertain the children. Cou-Rage India is a registered nonprofit organisation for cancer aid, education and rehabilitation. Free cancer camp at Vasai
