150 kgs of ganja seized
MUMBAI, July 15: The Customs Preventive seized 150 kgs of ganja worth Rs 12 lakh from a tempo delivery van near Mankhurd recently. The tempo driver Chandraban C Verma has been arrested.

Lottery agents protest ban
Following the central government8217;s ban on lotteries all over the country, lottery agents in the state have threatened to launch an agitation.

Authorised lottery agents will meet State Finance Minister on July 16. Suresh Bhagat, a lottery agent, said the ban on lotteries will render almost 80,000 people jobless.

CBI unearths bank fraud
The Central Bureau of Investigation CBI has unearthed a bank fraud racket involving Rs 80 lakh. Deepsingh Maansingh Gohil, who was arrested by the CBI on Tuesday, was remanded on Wednesday to police custody till July 23 by Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Usha Iyer.

Sanjay Dutt turns crooner
After Aamir Khan, it is Sanjay Dutt8217;s turn to turn crooner. He recorded a song Aye Shivaniat a suburban recording studio under the baton of music duo Jatin-Lalit for the film Khubsoorat, being directed by Sanjay Chhel.
