Literature course
The Canadian Studies Programme and Department of Continuing and Adult Education of SNDT University will conduct a course on “An introduction to Canadian Literature”. The course commences from January 15. Indian and Canadian specialists will lecture on trends in twentieth century Canadian literature. Maths Olympiad
The Mathematics Association, Dept of Maths of the Indian Institute of Technology has organised a Mathematics Olympiad on January 18 at the IIT Convocation Hall, Powai at 9 am. Those interested can register their names by paying a fee of Rs 15. Spot entries arealso allowed on the day of the competition. Polio camp
A free polio corrective surgery camp has been organised by Lions club, Juhu on January 16 and 17 at Homeopathic hospital, Irla, Vile Parle (W). The check-up and surgery will be done free of cost by Dr Adi Narayan Rao of Visakhapatnam and his team. About 200 patients will be selected for surgery.
