It8217;s been a quiet few months for the Mumbai Help blog. But things changed drastically on Wednesday night when a bunch of rogues decided to hold Mumbai to ransom.
Since then the helpline has been back in its element. It has posted a list of the dead, among them many yet to be identified and even some familiar names: Vijay Salasker Police, Male, GT Hospital. The scanned lists of dead and injured have been posted on the site.
The site encourages readers to 8220;Leave a message if you8217;re trying to get through to pals in the city8230; Preferably leave a cellphone number for both yourself and your friends / family, and we8217;ll try and SMS them.8221;
It suggests the people posting comments, there are tons of them, 8220;avoid off-topic posts, speculation and rumours8221;. Many of the posters are volunteering all kinds of help, where there are others looking for any kind of help: 8220;CHABAD HOUSE ADJACENT TO LEOPOLD CAFEacute;. PLEASE IF ANYONE HAS INFO ON RABBI GAVRIEL AND RIVKA HOLTZBERG PLEASE CALL ASAP8221;
The site also lists the Taj and Government helpline numbers.
