3 injured in Bandra mishap
Three persons were injured in a freak accident at the Kherwadi junction of the Western Express Highway, Bandra (East) when a private bus rammed into a rickshaw and a private car late this afternoon.
According to the fire brigade, the accident was caused by brake failure of the private bus plying on the highway. As the driver lost control, the vehicle dashed into the divider and the traffic signal pole and then collided into a rickshaw. Another car driving in the same direction then rammed into the private bus. The injured were admitted to hospital.

Two persons sustained burn injuries when fire broke out at Bhandupura chawls in Kamrajnagar, Vikhroli (east) this morning. Fire brigade sources said the injured were admitted to Rajawadi Hospital and are out of danger. The fire started in one of the chawls at 9.52 am. Fire tenders and water tankers were rushed to the spot. The flames were brought under control within 30 minutes.The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
