LUCKNOW, APRIL 4: The issue of formation of an alternative government in the event of collapse of BJP-led coalition today became contentious with Rashtriya Loktantrik Morcha RLM president Mulayam Singh Yadav claiming that the Morcha would be able to form the government with the help of Left and quot;other like-minded partiesquot;.
In his first reaction to the political developments following AIADMK asking its leader Jayalalitha to forge new alliances, Yadav, who is also Samajwadi Party chief, claimed a quot;secular alternativequot; already existed in the country. The alternative comprised RLM, Left parties and other like-minded parties, he told PTI without directly mentioning the Congress.quot; We will form a government with the help of Left and other like-minded parties, quot; he said.Till recently, the RLM had been repeatedly asking the Congress to take the initiative.
