MUMBAI, DECEMBER 28: As part of its modernisation drive, the Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd MTNL, has commissioned an outdoor digital loop carrier DLC at Madh Island.

The DLC replaces the conventional copper cable network with optical fibre cable resulting in significant quality gains, according to a press release by the company. MTNL CMD S Rajagopalan was also present on the occasion.
