MP146;s arrest: LS panel seeks action against 3 officials

Terming the arrest of RJD member Devendra Prasad Yadav during the last Bihar Assembly polls as 8220;unjustified8221;, the Lok Sabha Committee of Privileges has recommended appropriate action against the three officials involved in the incident.

The report of the committee, headed by senior Congress member Kishore Chandra Deo, was tabled in the Lok Sabha on Friday. Registering its resentment against the conduct of then District Magistrate Atish Chandra, Madhubani SP Anupama Neelaker and Madhubani DSP Vishwajit Dayal, it sought action against them. However, the committee did not see any conspiracy to tar Yadav8217;s reputation.
