CHANDIGARH, June 23: The Joint Action Committee (JAC) Against Periphery Act has threatened to launch an agitation against a decision of Haryana government on the Act.Committee Secretary O.P. Sharma said that the decision, which aims at making the violations of the Punjab Capital Periphery (Control) Haryana Amendment Act a cognisable offence, has put them in an awkward position."This is contrary to the Central government's decision to construct four lakh houses for the poor," said JAC president Jagtar Singh Benipal in a press statement issued here.
