Assam on Thursday continued to reel under serial blasts triggered by the banned ULFA ahead of its 8216;Army Raising Day8217;, leaving a securityman injured and an oil pipeline damaged in Tinsukia.

The outfit8217;s 8216;commander-in-chief8217; Paresh Barua claimed responsibility for the blasts in an interview to a local TV channel. Barua said the blasts were in protest against the 8216;8216;inadequate response8217;8217; of the Centre to the ULFA8217;s offer for talks and threatened to continue the violence till it was accepted.

A bomb was also recovered and defused in the Basistha area of Guwahati. 8212;PTI
