Less than 24 hours after being dumped out of the Australian Open by a rampant Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, world number two Rafael Nadal has again been bounced — back into economy class on his flight home.

The three-times French Open champion turned up at Melbourne Airport for the long flight back to Spain on Friday.

Unfortunately for the multi-millionaire, who had a business class ticket through to Barcelona, he was told the connecting flight in Singapore was full and he could be forced to travel in economy back to Europe.

“The business class is full out of Singapore.,” said Nadal’s agent Benito Perez-Barbadillo.

Nadal was on the waiting list for business class for the connecting flight, Perez-Barbadillo said.
