S.A.S.NAGAR, February 16: Falling under the Ropar parliamentary constituency, polling at all the 68 polling booths of this township remained at low ebb with nearly 45 per cent of votes, being recorded today. However, the polling was conducted in a peaceful manner and no incidence of violence was reported from any part of the township.According to an information received here, the polling remained a low-key affair throughout the morning and until noon, when an average polling of less than 20 per cent was reported. It was only after about 1 pm that polling picked up and remained brisk till the end. Meanwhile, the ballot boxes were sealed in the presence of BSP-Congress combine candidate, Maan Singh Manhera and Akali-BJP combine candidate, Satwinder Kaur Dhaliwal, said a senior official.
