Metro museum opens on Jan 1

A Metro museum will be inaugurated at the Patel Chowk Metro station on January 1. 8220;The museum is the only such installation in the world. Set up in an operational station, it will showcase the genesis, history and journey of the Delhi Metro,8221; Anuj Dayal, DMRC spokesperson, said. The museum has a collection of display panels, historical photographs and exhibits, and traces the genesis of the Delhi Metro 8212; which took 32 years to reach operational stage from the drawing boards 8212; major milestones, issues regarding the selection of technology such as rolling stock trains, rail gauge. It will also have displays on the management style and work culture of the DMRC.
