Mussorie, Nov 2: Ace cueist Geet Sethi, defending champion Yasin Merchant and former Asian champion Paraput C of Thailand are among 16 players vying for honours in the second S Chand-Jaypee International snooker tournament which gets underway here tomorrow.
Merchant will set the ball rolling against Dharminder Lilly in the first tie tomorrow while Sethi meets former national champion Siddharth Rao in the last match of the day.
With the players divided into four groups each, the top two players from each group will make it to the quarter-finals beginning on November 7.
Groupings: Group A: Yasin Merchant, Praput C, Rishab Thukral and Lilly. Group B: Geet Sethi, Manan Chandra, Mukesh Rehani and Siddharth Rao. Group C: Ashok Shandilya, Sarchai Sim-Gam (Thailand), Rafat Habib and Siddharth Anand. Group D: Devendra Joshi, Farhan Mirza (Pak), Rupesh Shah and Alok Kumar.
