The superbat is back home. Sachin Tendulkar, following his arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder, returned quietly late yesterday from London. His surgery was on March 27.
The Little Master, sources confirmed, reached Mumbai last night. The surgery, performed at the Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth by Dr Andrew Wallace, will keep Tendulkar away from active cricket for at least six weeks.
The surgery was needed to stabilise Tendulkar8217;s shoulder joint and reattach a damaged bicep tendon to his upper arm bone. His arm is in a sling, and the West Indies tour seems a distant possibility.
