VADODARA, July 21: Even as the newly elected office-bearers of the Vadodara Municipal Corporation VMC decided to meet daily at 10 a.m. to coordinate the matters, Mayor Bharti Vyas held a customary meeting with civic officers on Tuesday.

She told reporters that she, Deputy Mayor Dinesh Chokshi, Standing Committee chairman N V Patel, party leader Umakant Joshi and whip Sadanand Desai would meet daily to discuss various civic issues. 8220;The elected wing can have co-ordination with the administrative wing only if the office-bearers have co-ordination among themselves,8221; she said.

She exhorted the civic officers to rise above individual interests and work for the betterment of the city apart from to start correspondence to get loans for project works. Chokshi underlined the need to plan for early implementation of town planning schemes.

As part of the Human Resource Development HRD concept, she asked the higher ups to be polite towards their subordinates and get the work done.

8220;I think employees will work hard if tackled with politeness,8221; she stated.

Chokshi said road lines should be laid before hand looking to the future needs and tenders for such works should be invited simaltaneously.

Patel called for the need for effective co-ordination between the administrative and elected wings.

Municipal Commissioner G R Aloria is reported to have assured to work as a team for the betterment of the city. Among those who attended the meeting included Deputy Municipal Commissioner General I B Peerzada and Deputy Municipal Commissioner Administration H S Patel.
