NEW DELHI, SEPTEMBER 7: Khanasom Government School Manipur thrashed St. Joseph School Gujarat 12-0 while fancied Sukanta Nagar High School SAI, Bengal had to battle it out before overcoming Government Senior Secondary School Nagaland 1-0 in the 39th Subroto Football Cup here today. In another match, Senior Secondary School, Rewari were held to a 1-1 draw by the local DAV Puspanjali School.

Manipur, who led 9-0 at the breather against the Gujarat team, outplayed their opponents in all departments of the game. K.Zimik, A.Songchan, A.R.Wungshungmi, H.Baranta Kumar 2 each A.R.Ashung, R.Horam, Ranjan and Robin scored for the winners.Debdas Biswas scored the all-important goal for Sukanta School in the 40th minute in the match against the Nagaland team. South Delhi win
Fine bowling by Akshit 2 for 6 and Mayank 2 for 8 hepled South Delhi Coaching Centre beat Chetan Sharma Academy by 29 runs in a limited overs match under-14 at Gyan Bharti School, Saket. Vivek 4 for 26 was the most successful bowler for the losers.

Medals for Konkan Rly
Within a year of providing regular karate self defence training to its employees, Konkan Railway won two prestigious medals in the All Inida Goju-Ryu Karate Do Championship at Kullu Himachal Pradesh. In the Kumite style of one-to-one fight, NP Wankar of mechanical department of Ratnagiri region won the silver medal. Sharad Surve of electrical department of Chiplun won the bronze medal in the same event in below 55 kg weight category. The chief instructor of karate for Konkan Railway, Pramod Raulo, who is a Black Belt second degree holder, also won two gold medals in the open categroy of men8217;s Kata and Kumite events.

Jaideep impressive
Jaideep Chaudhary8217;s all-round display 95 and 2 for 26 and a useful 49 by Shekhar Giri enabled Ramjas Coaching Centre prevail over Rohtak Road Gymkhana by four wickets in a limited overs match under-14 at Hans Raj Model School Punjabi Bagh.

RR Gymkhana won the toss and elected to bat first. They made 184 in 34.1 overs. Vineet Sharma scored 71. In reply, Ramjas Coaching Centre achieved the target 186 in 32 overs losing six wickets. Jaideep Chhaudhary, Shekhar Giri and Narendar Kumar were the principal contributors for Ramjas Coaching Centre.
