June 7: With the seizure of around 19,970 kgs of mandrax, valued at Rs 2.30 crore in the international market, the Thane police claim to have busted a racket involving the manufacture and sale of mandrax. The police arrested Prasad Sashikanth Bhosale at Mumbra. His interrogation led them to Sanjay Todkar, whose interrogation in turn led to the arrest of Vijay Rangarajan Raghavan, a mechanical engineer who would prepared the powder.
