Man Singh shot a new national record in the junior category and bagged gold in the men8217;s skeet event on the last day of The Masters 2008 that wrapped up today at the New Moti Bagh Gun Club Shooting Range in Patiala.

The Delhi shooter proved his supremacy in the junior men8217;s skeet event and beat his own record by shooting a spectacular 116 points and bettering his previous record by two points. In the run up to the final, the shooter had beaten his nearest rival Smit Singh, who finished second with a score of 108, by a margin of 8 points.

The 19-year-old Delhi shooter, who took up shooting just four years back, said that rigorous sessions with coach PS Sodhi have really helped him. 8220;I have been performing consistently now and the practice sessions with him in the recent months have actually helped to record this feat8221;, he said.

Man Singh is now looking forward to a training session in Germany. Meanwhile, in the men8217;s final tally Man Singh stood first with 141 points 11625 followed by A D Peoples and Mairaj A Khan, who gathered 140 11822 and 137 points 11621 respectively.
