PANCHKULA, Oct 1: A pillion-rider was crushed to death by a speeding truck in Industrial Area yesterday.
Parvinder Singh, a resident of Rajpura, Patiala District, was returning after attending a marriage ceremony when the scooter on which he was riding was hit by a truck near the HUDA nursery in Industrial Area.
While Parvinder Singh died on the spot, the driver of the scooter, Gurdev Singh, escaped unhurt. The driver of the truck managed to escape.
The post mortem of the deceased has been conducted.
