CHANDIGARH, Jan 4: A man, Raju, believed to be in his late-twenties, reportedly consumed some insecticides here this afternoon after he gambled away all his money in the sector 17 lottery bazar this afternoon, according to police sources. He was rushed to the sector 16 general hospital where he died within a few hours.
Ambala Cantonment8217;s Baans Bazaar resident, Raju used to go around the city to sell cloth on his bicycle and was a regular at the lottery bazaar. Police sources, quoting eye-witnesses, added he had lost all his money this afternoon. The amount he lost is yet to be ascertained. Police are investigating the matter. No case has so far been registered.
