Mumbai, June 1: Maitreyee Korgaonkar fought back to defeat Neha Rane 13-10 11-6 in the midget girls’ singles final of the 14th Manora Badminton Academy tournament held at CCI on Tuesday.

Parin Chopra (mini boys), Ajay Jayram (midget), Sagar Chopra (sub-junior) and Rachna Bajaj (sub-junior girls) were the other winners.

Sub-junior boys: Sagar Chopra bt Ajay Jayram 15-10, 15-4, Mini boys: Parin Chopra bt Abhishek Nair 15-2 15-2, Midget boys: Ajay Jayram bt Parin Chopra 15-4 15-2.

Mumbai, Pune champs

Mumbai’s under-20 boys won the Maharashtra State age-group water polo title after three years as they edged Pune 4-3 in the final recently. Pune girls (4 points) retained the title after topping the three-team league.
