Young Stars Sewri defeated Colaba Young Stars 3-1, after trailing 0-1 at half-time, to enter the semi-finals of the late Joseph Koli rink football tournament, organised by St Francis Sports Club, at the Ganesh maidan Sewri, today.
Tonmoy Hemady gave Colaba Young Stars CYS the lead. Young Stars fought back in the second-half and restored parity through Ajay Kambli.Bari and Abbas of the Sewri side then applied pressure on the CYS defence. Their efforts bore fruit when Sameer Abbas struck twice within a span of five minutes to seal the fate of CYS.
