
MOGA, May 15: Northern Express Luxury Road Liners has introduced two new luxury buses with all modern facilities including toilets. The buses ply from Indira Gandhi International Airport to Jalandhar with only an half-hour stop at Rajpura. The first bus will leave the airport at 1 a.m. and the second at 4 a.m. and will reach Jalandhar at 9 a.m. and 12 noon respectively.
This was announced at a press conference at Moga on Wednesday evening by Harjinder Singh, Managing Director, Northern Express Luxury Road Liner. He said that this service was introduced for the convenience of Non-Resident Indians coming from abroad. Advance booking facilities for these buses is available. One-side fair will be Rs 250. These buses will return to Indira Gandhi International Airport from Jalandhar at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. respectively.
Harjinder Singh said the passengers will be provided snacks and cold drinks. Later, arrangements for providing packed breakfast will be made. There is also a proposal to extend this facility up to Moga. As a stop gap arrangement, this facility would be provided by arranging for a mini luxury bus from Ludhiana to Moga, if required. The managing director further stated that after about three to four months, the company proposed to launch a fleet of six such luxury buses from Indira Gandhi International Airport to Jalandhar, Amritsar and Moga.
