
UNION Minister and Lok Janshakti Party chief Ram Vilas Paswan has demanded the dismissal of the BSP Government in Uttar Pradesh after his party8217;s Agra unit chief and property dealer Manish Yadav 28 succumbed to injuries at a nursing home here after being shot by business rivals on Friday night. The suspects, Sonu Pundit, Monu Pandit and Sanju Pandit, are said to be associates of BSP MLA Madhusudan Sharma and state minister Ramveer Upadhyaya. The LJP has called for a bandh in Agra and Mathura on Monday.
Yadav, a resident of Barauli Aheer, was having liquor with the three property dealers at the Rajput Bar in Shaheed Nagar when a quarrel broke out between them. Things took an ugly turn when the trio allegedly fired several rounds at Yadav. Sources said the assailants then went on a rampage, damaged bar property and terrorised locals by firing in the air. Subsequently, they fled from the spot. Sonu is an accused in a murder case, they added. Yadav died in hospital later in the night.
8220;We will demonstrate outside the Governor8217;s residence in Lucknow and demand the arrest of the three accused, who are absconding. We will also seek the arrest of MLA Sharma and state minister Upadhyaya. The three accused should be booked under Section 302,8221; Paswan said after meeting Yadav8217;s family here. Paswan claimed the trio had been demanding Rs 2 lakh from Yadav for UP Chief Minister Mayawati8217;s birthday and said he would write to the Prime Minister and Home Minister about the breakdown of law and order in the state.
