Here is an indication of the mood in which some Left MPS voted. When the final score of the trust vote was announced, there was rejoicing among some Left legislators. LJP MP Ranjeet Ranjan, wife of RJD’s Pappu Yadav, was startled when a couple of CPI(M) MPs sitting next to her guardedly extended their hands in congratulation when the Speaker announced the result. “I was taken aback. But they told me that they too were happy as they did not want to face an early election,” she said.
