Former West Indies skipper Viv Richards today said that Brian Lara should step down as captain of the national side. “The side are now in a bad way and if you have a leader who cannot motivate, you have problems,” Richards told the BBC. “Brian Lara must take a long, hard look at himself.”Richards said the current West Indies side, who are already 0-1 down in the four-match Test series, needed to improve in all aspects of their game. “I believe these guys are not good thinkers. They need to be a little bit more focused,” he said. “We have all identified the ability factor. But These guys are not focused enough.” (AFP)
