DERBY, May 27: Pakistan's famed fast bowlers will give no respite to shell-shocked New Zealand when they clash here on Friday. The Kiwis, flying high last week after beating Trans-Tasman rivals Australia in Group B, were brought down to earth by the West Indian new-ball attack on Monday.Stephen Fleming's men, with two wins from three matches, will qualify for the second round if they hand Pakistan their first defeat in the tournament. But their failure against the West Indies - they collapsed for 156 against the Pace quartet of Courtney Walsh, Curtly Ambrose, Reon King and Mervyn Dillon - has whetted Pakistan's appetite.Shoaib Akhtar, the fastest man on the planet, and Wasim Akram, the only bowler in history to claim more than 300 wickets in Tests and one-dayers, will head the att ack.Fast-medium, deadly accurate seamers Abdur Razzaq and Azhar Mahmmod will back them up, with Saqlain Mushtaq, regarded as the best one-day off-spinner in the world, tidying up. Fleming conceded: "There will not be anyeasy runs out there. We will have to bat well to put up a big score."History also favours Pakistan they have beaten New Zealand in four succesive World Cup matches after losing the first in 1983.It was Pakistan who ended the Kiwi dream run in the 1992 World Cup, when young Inzamam-ul Haq cracked 60 to win the semi-final in Auckland by four wickets.Inzamam will again be there, having flexed his muscles with a match-winning 81 against Australia at Headingley on Sunday.Pakistan, who will confirm their place in the Super Six second round if they beat New Zealand, show no signs of letting up.A confident skipper Akram said: "We want to win all our league matches."I have a lot of respect for New Zealand who have shown they are a very good side. But we are on a roll and don't want to stop."With teams taking the points won against fellow qualifiers into the second round, he said, victory was essential. "The bowling is our main strength. The batsmen have to put runs on the board and we will do therest." Akram said the batting was beginning to look good after a hesitant start.TeamsPakistan: Saeed Anwar, Wajahatullah Wasti, Abdul Razzaq, Ijaz Ahmed,Inzamam-ul-Haq, Yousuf Youhanna, Wasim Akram (capt), Moin Khan, Azhar Mahmood, Saql ain Mushtaq, Shoaib Akhtar.New Zealand: Nathan Astle, Matthew Horne, Craig McMillan, Stephen Fleming (capt), Roger Twose, Chris Cairns, Adam Parore, Chris Harris, Dion Nash, Gavin Larsen, Daniel Vettori, Geoff Allott.
