Kiwi batsman Jesse Ryder generates buzz in IPL

Wealthy owners of the eight Indian Premier League IPL teams are all keen to make a bid for New Zealand8217;s latest cricket star Jesse Ryder despite his bad boy reputation.

According to 8216;Archivestuff8217;, the 24-year-old will be part of next year8217;s IPL auction to be held on February 6, a placement that could earn him anything upwards from US 200, 000 dollars a year for the next couple of years.

Of course Ryder has to be snapped up by one of the eight franchises before the big bucks roll in but the blockbusting batsman8217;s Wellington-based agent Aaron Klee said there was considerable interest in his star pupil.

8220;We8217;ve got confirmation he is going to be in the auction, which is great for Jesse,8221; Klee said.
