NEW DELHI, May 5: Defending champions SS Khalsa, Lajpat Nagar, rode on a first-minute strike from Rajesh Kumar Arya to edge past St George School, Mussorie and enter the final of the all India Nivia football tournament at the Ambedkar Stadium here today.

SS Khalsa will clash with CRZ School, Sonepat, in the final scheduled to be held on Thursday at 4:00 p.m. CRZ Sonepat was lucky to make the grade after scraping past Mamta Modern Public School, Vikas Puri via the sudden death.

The teams were locked goaless after extra time and levelled 5-5 at the tie-breaker. Ram Chander, Dalbir, Manoj, Anil Bijender and Sunil were the scorers for the winners.

Rajesh, Niza, Shaker, Anil and Kuldeep struck for Mamta Modern. Earlier, SS Khalsa failed to add to the early strike even as St George School wasted a number of chances that came their way.
