AMRITSAR, FEBRUARY 7: A hardcore Babbar Khalsa militant having links with Pakistan8217;s ISI who was on a mission to Punjab was on Sunday arrested by the police here along with some arms and ammunitions.

The militant, Rachpal Singh, who jumped his parole three years ago, had come to Punjab to take revenge from those who had testified against him in his conviction in a twin murder case, the police said.

Singh, a resident of Kaler Mangat village, was arrested from Jethuwal area with a loaded revolver, 250 AK 47 cartidges and a grenade. The militant along with a self-styled lieutenant general of the outfit had killed two persons in 1993 and was convicted in 1996, a year after which he ran away on the last day of his parole, the police added.
