PUNE, Dec 1: More than 300 dogs from all over the country will vie for the top prizes at the 67th Poona Kennel Club Championship Dog Show KCI at the Poona Club Cricket Grounds from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on December 4 and 5.

Rare breeds including the Tibetian mastiff, Yorkshire Terrier, miniature Poodle, Bull Terrier, Bull dog, Lhasa Apso, Rottweiler, Chinese shar-pei, and imported breeds from Russia, Germany and USA will participate in the show. Other pedigrees like the German Shepherds, Boxers, Dobermans, Great Danes, Irish Setters, Labradors, and Golden Retrievers will also participate.

All the winning dogs will be awarded prizes. The Poona Kennel Club Championship Dog Show points are counted for the Dog of the Year award. Philip John will judge the show on December 4 and the 68th show will be judged by John Rowles from Australia. The best of breed will be awarded the Late Soli Poonawala trophy.

Tickets for the shows will be available at the show ground on both the days.
