CHANDIGARH, April 16: A 24-room extension block of the Kasturba Hall, girls' hostel number 10, was formally inaugurated by University Grants Commission chairperson Dr Armaity S. Desai at Panjab University, here today.The new block will have five storeys when completed, university sources said. The construction work is yet to commence, it was added. Dr Desai went around the hostel and interacted with the students and the hostel warden.Punjab University Vice-Chancellor Prof M. M. Puri, Dean University Instructions Prof I. B. S. Passi and Registrar Prof Paramjit Singh were also present.
