Miffed with the selection of ministers to the Kerala Cabinet, senior Congress leader K. Karunakaran on Saturday said CM Oommen Chandy would meet the plight of his predecessor, A.K. Antony, if he goes ahead with such unilateral decisions.
Karunakaran said he would not attend the swearing-in ceremony tomorrow as he had prior engagements. Nor will his son, K. Muraleedharan.
After a meeting with Governor R.L. Bhatia, Karunakaran said contrary to promise, Chandy announced his Cabinet without consulting him. The exclusion of his nominees, he said, was 8216;8216;humiliation to leaders who stood by Indiraji8217;8217;.
