MUMBAI, March 22: Young Challengers defeated Fr Agnel Gymkhana Vashi 4-2 in the BHA First Division League at the Mahindra Stadium, today.

Vijay Kannan 3 and Darshan Pardeshi scored for the winners. Neil Pimenta 2 accounted for the losers.

Fr Agnel Vashi defeated Kalina Rangers 4-3 via the tie-breaker in semi-finals of the Don Bosco Challenge Football Cup for seniors at St Joseph8217;s Technical ground, Kurla, today.

In the other semi-final, Colaba Young Star beat Don Bosco Academy 5-3, also via the tie-breaker.

Century Rayon tops

Century Rayon prevailed 15-12, 11-15, 15-8 over Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers in the final of the first Mahatma S C Veterans volleyball tournament at the Chembur English Sports Complex, today.

Best player: Rajan Thomas RCF. Best spiker: Pradeep Kumar RCF. Best booster: Pramod Century Rayon. Oldest player: Jehangir Ibrahim Shaikh.
