MUMBAI, Sept 13: A brace by Anish Kanchan helped NM Commerce down Somaiya Arts 2-0 to advance to the fourth round in the Inter-College Football Tournament at the University Pavilion today. Later, twin Somaiya Science also failed to make the fourth round, losing to Ruia by an identical margin.Little soccer skill was in display as players found it difficult to navigate the ball on the slushy ground. The entire mid-field was a swamp, almost six inches of rich slush. The east flank was logged with water too, forcing Vivek Vidyalaya and Lala Lajpatrai to call off their match after the first half. The match will now be played tomorrow.
