NEW DELHI, January 11: As many as 250 witnesses are likely to be examined in the multi-crore JMM MPs bribery case in which former premier P V Narasimha Rao and 19 others are facing trial. The number depends on whose statements CBI relies upon to prove its case.

During recording of evidence before trial court judge Ajit Bharihoke last week, two of the key prosecution witnesses Devenra Mukhia and Dilawar Singh turned hostile as the CBI tried to confront them with their own statements.
