Nov 17: Himanshu Jadhav pulled Vadodara out of a deep hole after Moinuddin Kadri’s haul of six wickets helped them dismiss Gujarat for 295 runs on the second day of the West Zone tie at IPCL Ground today. Jadhav was unbeaten on 68 as Vadodara finished the day at 165 for six.

NEW DELHI: Fine bowling spells by medium pacer Surinder Singh (3-18) and off-spinner Ashwani Gupta (3-29) helped Jammu and Kashmir beat Services by 30 runs on the final day.

LUDHIANA: Delhi, needing 126 more for the first innings lead after resuming at 405 for six in the morning, were galloping towards the target, thanks to Virender Sehwag’s mighty onslaught. But Delhi finishedtheir first innings at 527, three short of Punjab’s first innings total of 530-7 declared. Punjab thus collected five points to Delhi’s three, with their overall tallies at 29 and 24, respectively. With a game each to go, only an outright defeat for Punjab in their last game can help Delhi dislodge them atop the zonal leaderboard.

Sehwag was the ninth man to go, hitting nine sixes and 20 boundaries in his 175-ball 187.
