LOS ANGELES, April 4: Michael Jackson, the self-styled king of pop, today became a father for a second time when his wife gave birth to a daughter, local TV stations reported.

There was no immediate confirmation from Jackson8217;s publicists or the Beverly Hills hospital where Paris Michael Katherine Jackson was reportedly born at 1430 GMT.

The reports said the baby girl weighed 3.6 kg and that the singer and his wife Debbie Rowe Jackson were planning to taking her to their Neverland ranch near Santa Barbara, California.

In an interview last November, Rowe told Los Angeles station KNBC that she wanted to name the baby Michael but that Jackson disagreed.

So they chose Paris quot;because that8217;s where she was conceivedquot;.
