While few would be surprised if foreign students raised questions about academic standards in Indian colleges and universities, the tide turned the other way when Indian students studying in colleges and universities in Australia complained about 8220;harassment8221; in terms of being subjected to poor academic standards. The issue took a serious turn as government officials raised the matter with their Australian counterparts. The Australian delegation admitted that there was a drop in standards, and it would soon be fixed. The world is getting flatter in more ways than one, joked officials.
