NASHIK, MAY 22: The Maharashtra government has made all efforts to take the State to the top position in Information Technology, state Minister for Industry Dr Patangrao Kadam said.Speaking after performing the bhoomi pujan for the IT park in Ambad industrial area in the city on Sunday, Dr Kadam said that IT should reach the rural areas also.Five infotech parks were being built at Mumbai, Pune, Kolhapur, Solapur and Nashik with help of Information and Techonology Department of the Central Goverment. The State Industrial Development Corporation will give Rs ten crore for these five parks, Dr Kadam said.The IT park will be beneficial to the fast developing industries in Nashik district, he added. About 25 acres of land has been acquired in Nashik for the infotech park project. About Rs nine crore would spent on this project which will be completed within one year.Minister OF State for Dairy Development A T Pawar, Members of Parliament Uttamrao Dhikale and Haribhau Ahale, Nashik Corporation Mayor Shobha Bacchav, MLA Manikrao Kokate and others were also present on the occasion.
