CALCUTTA, DECEMBER 17: Peter Bleach a British national and prime accused in the Purulia arms drop case continued his argument before the city sessions Judge P K Biswas for the 9th day on Friday.
Bleach told the court that the investigating officer IO of the case P S Mukhopadhyay in his evidence in the court that he had inspected the seized aircraft personally and taken the photographs. But the IO did not produce those photographs.
According to Bleach if the photographs were produced the IO could not prove that the aircraft contained some moveable wooden panels which were allegedly used at the time of dropping the arms.
Bleach said the IO said that he had recovered some brochures and books from Anandmarg organisation from which he claimed that Kim Davy, in collusion with Peter Bleach and some Anandmarg followers, conspired to wage war and create chaos within the country prior to the 1996 general election and to distabilise the Communist-led Government in a state of India but he failed to produce those documents before the court.
Bleach said the IO had told the court that Bleach met Davy at Bangkok but could not produce any document in support of his claim.
The IO had also told the court that Bleach did not make any statement under Sec 164 CrPC during investigation, Bleach said, adding that he had made a statement before the court in the form of a petition about his activities.
The argument will continue.
