PRESS TRUST OF INDIANEW DELHI, OCT 10: After hovering a little over two per cent mark for a couple of weeks, inflation again dropped to 1.88 per cent for the week ended September 25, mainly on account of a decline in prices of manufactured products.

Annual rate of inflation, based on wholesale price index WPI, declined by 0.14 percentage points to 1.88 per cent provisional from 2.02 per cent P in the previous week. Inflation was sharply higher at 8.84 per cent during the same period last year due to a spurt in prices of agricultural produce.
