NEW DELHI, January 3: Around 400 delegates will attend the first-ever national conference of Indo-Burmese friendship society to be held in Jhinjholi (Haryana) near Delhi on January 16 and 17.

A delegation from Myanmar (Burma) will also attend this conference. This delegation would seek mutual cooperation from their Indian counterparts in organising a Makar Sankraman-2000 conference in Rangoon (Yangon) on January 14, 2000.

The primary objective of the Jhinjholi conference is to garner goodwill and resources of like-minded individuals and organisations and revitalise age-old fraternal bond between the people of India and Burma before the advent of the next century.
