The axis of the monsoon trough at sea level runs close to the foot Hills of the Himalayas. The off-shore trough at sea level off Maharashtra coast now runs from Karnataka coast to Kerala coast. The cyclonic circulation over Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining Bangladesh now lies as a trough extending upto 2.1 kms a.s.l. from Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim to north Bay. The cyclonic circulation over northwest Rajasthan and adjoining Punjab persists and now extends upto 0.9 km a.s.l. The western disturbance as an upper air system over Jammu and Kashmir and neighbourhood has moved away northeastwards.

Total India: Total Rainfall during the past 24 hours at 172 available stations in the plains, out of 291 stations, is 100 cms. Normal for the above 172 stations is 169 cms.

The southwest Monsoon has been active in Gangetic West Bengal and Jharkhand. It has been subdued in west Rajasthan, Saurashtra and Kutch, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and north interior Karnataka.
