New Delhi, May 4: After an indifferent start, India will look forward to score full points against Sri Lanka in their second match of the four-nation Golden Jubilee Cup at Male, Maldives, on Friday.

India, who have fielded a second-string team in the tournament, struggled to hold a determined Bangladesh 1-1 in their opening match of the tournament on Tuesday. India play their third and concluding match against Maldives on Monday.

SAF Games champions Bangladesh surged ahead as early as in the fifth minute of the play courtesy Zulfiqar Mahmud. However, India’s Abbas Ali Rizvi saved his side from an ignominous defeat when he slotted home the equaliser in the 53rd minute. Tonight, Bangladesh take on hosts Maldives in their second match.
